Fostering a Rescue Is a Rewarding Experience
If you are looking for a way to make a difference in the life of an animal but cannot make the commitment to adopt, fostering may be the answer.
Rewards of Fostering Rescues:
Fostering provides temporary care for rescues until their forever families adopt them.
Fostering introduces rescues to new people, animals and things they would not see in a shelter.
Foster homes provide a quiet environment for shelter cats and dogs needing a little extra care to recuperate from injuries, or are undergoing heartworm treatment.
Other rescues are young and simply need time to grow before they can be adopted, and fostering gives them the extra time they need before being adopted.
Fostering frees up space at our facilities enabling us to rescue more cats and dogs.
Fostering is free to foster parents (all food, medication, medical care, toys, etc., are provided by Colbert Veterinary Rescue Services, Inc.).
