URGENT!

At the beginning of June 2025, a tree fell on the Haven where we house our rescue dogs. The Haven has been damaged beyond repair and demolition is being planned. As such, we need to have everything, along with our rescue dogs, removed by August 9th or 10th.

Debbie is one of 3 rescue dogs currently being housed in the Haven. (Carter and Roscoe are the other 2.) Rescue dogs housed at the animal hospital (Akuna and Izzy) take up most of our room, so fitting more dogs will be very difficult. We desperately need to have our rescue dogs find their perfect homes. We have a lot invested in our rescues and would rather they not have to stay in cramped quarters.

If you cannot adopt or foster Debbie, PLEASE share her bio.

Bio:

Debbie is an adorable 2-year-old husky who wants to find her forever home! She is roughly 35-40 lbs and is full grown. She is very friendly when meeting new people and other dogs. We are not sure how she does with cats. She has been given a clean bill of health and is up to date on her vaccines. She is heartworm negative, is spayed and on preventatives.

Debbie enjoys being outside, especially if there is a dog house or dogloo. She is a very happy dog. She gets zoomies frequently, and jumps up and down on her front paws when she is excited. She has a lot of energy and does not like to stay still for very long, except when she finds a comfy nap spot. She enjoys playing with people and we are working on her manners when going on walks, but she is getting much better.

If you are interested in fostering or adopting Debbie, please reach out to us at at info@colbertvetrescue.org, or call us at 706-548-2233. If you would like to donate toward her medical bills, our Venmo is @colbert-vetrescue, or if you would like to meet Debbie, you can stop by 41 County Rd 229 Colbert GA on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday from 9-5.
